As this is the first post of my new blog I thought it would make sense to explain why we’re all here. Not in an existential sense, just in a blogistential way. Oh and if you do decide to stick around then ‘blogistential’ was a good example of the type of poor wordplay and bad puns you will have to suffer through – sorry!
I’ve toyed with the idea of starting my own blog for a while now. Writing posts is the part of my job I enjoy the most & I’ve been led to believe that I’m not terrible at it. But in order to have a blog you need to have something to write about. I don’t really have any hobbies but in my spare time I love reading and walking. Years ago I did try my hand at book reviews but honestly I ran out of steam with it as I preferred reading the stories to trying to analyse why I did or didn’t like them.

However I think there could be some mileage on a blog about walking – I did warn you about the puns! Seriously though I’m aware this is not the first blog on walking and nor will it be the last. That said if by sharing my random thoughts on the benefits of a wellness walk, a relaxing ramble or a soothing stroll I encourage someone to give it a go well that can only be a good thing. That’s assuming anyone other than me ever reads this, of course, but even then this will hopefully encourage me to write more and may help me to discover something about myself. It may just give me RSI but you don’t know if you don’t try.
I wonder if I should have a natty little sign-off? So long strollers? Keep strollin’. That’s sock & stroll! Hmm I may have to give this some thought…
